Focus and Attention Level Calculator
The Focus and Attention Level Calculator estimates your current Focus Score based on sleep hours, screen time, and stress levels. This tool helps students and professionals boost productivity by identifying factors that drain mental energy. Whether you are preparing for a complex project, driving long distances, or managing daily fatigue, this guide offers clarity. Use these insights to optimize your schedule for peak mental performance.
How Focus Score Is Calculated
Your Focus Score represents your current cognitive readiness and energy levels. It uses a weighted algorithm to balance positive inputs like rest against negative drains like stress to give you a reliable snapshot of your mental state.
Score = (Sleep × 15) + (Activity × 10) – (Stress × 0.3) – (Screen Time × 1.5) + (Caffeine × 5)
The Formula Logic:
- Sleep & Activity: Additive factors that build your baseline score.
- Stress & Screen Time: Negative factors that subtract from your total.
- Caffeine: A small bonus boost to offset minor deficits.
This method prioritizes sleep as the primary foundation for focus while penalizing digital overstimulation.
What Your Focus Score Means
This score indicates if you are in the "Green Zone" for high-focus work or the "Red Zone" where rest is needed. Use your number to match the right task to your current energy level.
Deep Work (Score 80-100): Your brain is fully fueled. Tackle creative writing, coding, or learning new skills now.
Routine Tasks (Score 50-79): You have enough energy for meetings, emails, and administrative chores, but avoid complex problem-solving.
Rest Required (Score 0-49): Your reaction times are slow. Avoid driving or important decisions. Instead, organize files or take a power nap.
Remember that this score reflects your daily "state," not your permanent "trait" or intelligence.
